I have recently received a 2 year technical degree in Geographic Information Systems from Collin College in Frisco, TX. I received a 4.0 gpa and several of my projects were best in class over the two year time frame. Along with my certificate I have a bachelor’s degree in Geology with a minor in astronomy, plus 1 year graduate studies in Environmental Science. I have been working in the environmental field but I am 100% positive GIS is where I feel the best at. Serving in the Navy was the first time I realized GPS and navigation interested me. I loved working on the bridge and using the technology. I first started college with a degree in computer science, but geology peeked my interest due to learning how to read and create maps. I became familiar with AutoCAD in my structural geology class. I am also familiar with python in relation to GIS and currently studying through an online course.
